BTS Basics of Ultra Fractal

This is the Behind the Scenes page for Basics of Ultra Fractal.

The background fractal was made in Ultra Fractal using the Julia formula with the default parameters and setting the Transfer Function for both Inside and Outside to None, which ignores the coloring algorithm and just colors the points the Solid Color, which is black for Inside and white for Outside. The gradient is ignored.

I used Microsoft Excel to compute and plot the two orbits.

Created with a single layer in Ultra Fractal, using the Julia formula, Inside coloring Lyapunov, and Outside coloring Smooth (Mandelbrot). The colors in the gradient are from COLOURlovers jellyfish.

Two layers using the Julia formula and Basic 3 coloring. One layer is colored by iterations, the other by polar angle. The colors in the gradient are from COLOURlovers Mayan Mural.

Parameters for the other images are described in the article.
